The Posada del Tope Hotel is located in Liberia on the historic
street "Calle Real", which was the main access to the city
in the 1800�s. Records show that this house was built in
1854 and for more than a century, it has been witness to
many of Guanacaste�s traditions like "La Burra", and the
"La Pasada del Niņo" at christmas, and "EL Tope", the traditional
parade of horses. Faithful to its customs of the time, the
architecture of La Posada del Tope with its tiled roof,
high walls and large windows, make it a refreshing spot.
