The hotel is located in central downtown Cartago, across
the street from the famous church, Basilica of our Lady
of Los Angeles. Every August 2nd, half a million Costa Ricans
walk the 30 kms from San José to Cartago in honor of the
patron Saint of Costa Rica. The Los Angeles Lodge is a good
home base when discovering the sights around the Cartago
area. Such places include the Irazu Volcano, the Ruins in
the center of Cartago, the spectacular Orosi Valley, Lankester
Gardens, and the Tapanti National Park. The six room hotel
is located on the second floor, above the restaurant 'Puerta
del Sol', and has a beautiful view of the mountains south
of Cartago. You will be warmly received by the friendly
