About Cascada Verde
We are green, so we try to avoid the use of any chemical substances. Please bring organic products for your personal hygiene.
A flashlight might come handy.
Reservations: sorry no reservations, we have (or make) always space and are open all year round.

About Uvita
Weather and temperature: All year round mild tropical weather.
Basic needs: Uvita has it all. No worries.
Hospital: We have a small hospital and farmacy in town.
Malaria: There is no malaria in this area.

About Costa Rica
Visa: entering Costa Rica most western citizens get automatically a tourist visa for 3 months. Easy to extend continuously.
Money: Costa Rica currency is the Colon, but US$ are accepted almost everywhere. Mayor money cards are widely accepted.
Vaccinations: No vaccinations for tropical deceases needed.
Malaria: No malaria in the center nor on the pacific side of the country.
Seasons: Whole year is travel season. High season is during the dry season between December and April.
Animals: There are a few dangerous animals in Costa Rica, but usually you will rarely ever see one. With some awareness and common sense you will not have any problems with them.
Dangers: You should be careful in San José. Watch your luggage, also in the busses. The farther away you are from San José the less danger there is.
