| On a small
hillside, neighboring the picturesque village of Santa Elena
de Monteverde, the Arco Iris Lodge seems to be in another
world. Yet it is only a few minutes walk to the center of
the village. The Cabins are independently situated in a
tropical highland garden which allows you a maximum of privacy
and tranquility in a peaceful environment. The rooms are
tastefully furnished and vary in size. Each Cabin has a
private bath with hot water. The Arco Iris Lodge is ecologically
managed by its German owners. Because it has only ten rooms,
they are able to give you a personal and individual attention.
Located right in the middle between two important highland
forest preserves - the Monteverde Cloud Forest and the Santa
Elena Rainforest Reserve - it is an excellent base to explore
the magic of the surrounding countryside. In addition, they
arrange tours with local naturalist guides, or accompany
you on scenic horse-back rides. The restaurant is only operated
for an abundant breakfast buffet with freshly prepared,
homemade treats. In the kitchen two cultures melt: traditional
